Workout Wednesday: A week of workouts

Workout Wednesday: A week of workouts

Haaaaaappy Wednesday!

How did we get to the halfway point of the week again so fast?

This is actually my Friday, so I’m pretty excited. Perks of a nursing schedule!

I’m continuing with my current theme of sharing a sample workout today!

Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own,  for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body.

1 Corinthians 6:19-20

DISCLAIMER: I am NOT a personal trainer. This is just a workout I’ve done and enjoyed, and I encourage you to seek a medical professional (your MD) before beginning this or any exercise regimen.

See these links for form!

*Squat and Press

*RDLS:Romanian Deadlifts (I used dumbbells instead of barbells)

Burpees
Let me know if you try it out!

I also thought I’d share what a week of workouts looks like for me…I often use training plans, but as I’ve mentioned I’ve recently been doing whatever I want! And I’ve noticed I’ve been craving some short (but sweet!) full body circuits like this one 1-2x a week as opposed to strict lifting splits. So every week looks different. One week has two rest days, the next maybe just one.

So this is last week!

Monday: 4 mile interval run

Tuesday: OFF

Wednesday: Strength: Lifted back/biceps/core

Thursday: Strength:Shoulder/Chest/HIIT (30s on 30s off sprintsx10)

Friday: 30 m full body circuit

Saturday: Legs

Sunday: 40 minute walk

As much as I’d like to do a certain workout M/W/F and have a strict plan, with an ever changing work schedule, I just go with the flow! Gotta work with what season of life you’re in! And if a 12-13 hour shift makes me not want to workout, then I let myself rest! I also try and take rest days on one of my work days, and plan my shorter workouts on a work day if possible! That’s really my only ‘regimen’ at the moment!

What’s your favorite way to workout?

Do you follow a plan?
